Are the microgreen seeds organic?   

Of Course! The microgreen seeds are 100% Organic and non-GMO, and no sprays or chemicals are added in the growing process. Our seeds are provided by an amazing company called Mumm's Sprouting Seeds (http://sprouting.com). 

Can I eat the microgreens after they've grown?

Yes, you can! Try them on their own or add them to any one of your favourite dishes. 

Are microgreens the same as sprouts? 

No, they are not. Our friends at Mumm's Sprouting Seeds offer the following explanation: 

Q.WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN SPROUTS AND MICROGREENS?

• Sprouts are the first stage of a plants development, microgreens the second. They are grown hydroponically and without medium, and are keep moist and at room temperature until they germinate. The entire sprout is consumed, including the root.

  Microgreens are grown in a medium (soil or otherwise). They are harvested after they have established roots and opened their cotyledons. Only the stems and leaves are consumed; they are harvested above their roots.

Do I have to transplant the soil and seeds to a separate pot?

No way! The Gift-a-Green pouch is the actual pot. Just add the seeds to the soil within the Gift-a-Green pouch, splash with a little water (about a 1/4 cup) and allow indirect sunlight.

How long does it take to grow?

Depending on the seeds and the sunlight, it should take between 1 to 2 weeks. We've specifically selected seeds that grow and are ready to eat within a 2 week period. 

Will the Gift-a-Green pouch leak?

We sure hope not! The pouch is 100% waterproof and leakproof. Feel free to poke small holes in the bottom of the pouch if you have over watered. (make sure to have a catch basin underneath)

Does it re-grow after I eat it?

Unfortunately no. Each Gift-a-Green pouch is designed for one-time usage. But you can always send more Gift-a-Greens. 

Can I ship anywhere in the world?

There are many regulations when it comes to shipping soil and seeds across international borders. We do have partners around the world in order to get you your own Gift-a-Green pouch which can then be shipped in your region.
